I came across this little book, Pumpkin Painting, the other day which I think is just such a good idea for Halloween - and so different! Everyone carves their Pumpkins, and it has to be something of a last minute thing because they don’t last that long once they have been done. This way, not only does your decorated Pumpkin last much longer, but you can do it well in advance when you have lots of time.
The painted Pumpkins look absolutely spectacular and what better funny halloween decoration could you have - you can put all sorts of funny faces on your pumpkins, and the whole family can join in the painting. You could even do one each and make a display of them. I think it is a great activity for a Halloween party, especially for children, they can each paint their own pumpkin. It will keep them quiet for ages and they will have something really cool to take home afterwards. The possibilities are endless - you could even do some for Christmas!
