Halloween Funny Super Slime

October 8th, 2008

You can use the very simple Slime recipe I gave you the other day but if you want a more sophisticated Slime then you need to do a little more. Before we start with this, please be aware that Borax can be toxic in large doses so I would advise you not to make this Slime for very small children under 3, and do make sure that anyone who uses it washes their hands afterwards.

Ingredients:-

½ Cup White Glue
1 ½ cups warm Water,
1 tablespoon of Borax, you should be able to find this amongst the laundry detergents in your local store
Green Food Coloring - or any other color of your choice
Ziplock type sealable bag

Add the Borax to 1 cup of the warm water - keep the rest in reserve for later
Stir until completely dissolved
Mix the remaining water with the glue and stir until it is thoroughly combined and you have a thin glue solution
Pour equal quantities of the two solutions into the Ziplock bag (it is best to start with about half of the mix)
Add a few drops of coloring, if you want fluorescent slime, add some glow-in-the-dark paint as well
Seal the bag completely and knead the mixture until it turns into slime, it doesn’t take very long.
If the mixture is too slippery, you can add a little more borax, dissolved in a little water.

You can change the consistency of the slime by adding things such as shaving cream, cornstarch or talcum powder

This makes a really good rubbery slime that is very effective. I like to make two or three different colors and mix them - you get some very interesting effect.

Do keep it off precious furnishings as it may stain.
